Barbara Gail Cozart Stump

Barbara Gail Cozart Stump, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 17, 2021 at her home in Eden with her family by her side. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm, on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Danview Cemetery with Pastor Bud Sedwick and Pastor Tommy Bailey officiating. In keeping with the CDC guidelines remember social distancing and if you are not vaccinated, please wear a mask. Gail was born to the late Emil and Virginia Bailey Cozart in Beckley, WV. She retired from Shoe Show Inc. with over 25 years of service. She was married to the love of her life, Pastor Curtis Stump for 51 ½ years. She left a legacy of a servant’s heart which included serving as a pastor’s wife for over 30 years. She was committed to teaching the Bible and was always a loving, faithful mother and grandmother. Gail will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Along with her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her brothers Robert “Bobby” Cozart and James “Jimmy” Cozart. She is survived by her husband Curtis Stump; daughters Amy Brown and husband Matt and Beth Bullins and husband Johnny; grandchildren Zachary Brown and wife Louisa, Katie Watson and husband David, Trinity, Tristan, Trent and Trey Waddell; great grandchildren, Eli, Emery, Allie and Josie Mae; sisters Carol Gane and husband Mike, Joan Barrow and husband Wesley, Donna Harris and husband Tommy, Elaine Corns and husband Billy, Pat Rierson and husband Jackie and Norma Bradford and husband Steve; sister-in-law Karen Cozart; a large extended family and church family all over North Carolina and Virginia.
