Jack Vernon Dockery, Jr.

Waxhaw, NC: Jack Vernon Dockery, Jr., 69, of Waxhaw, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. A funeral service will be held at Noon, on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel, 1909 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320 with Rev.Walt Windley, III officiating. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service starting at 11:00 AM and the burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Jack was a native of Rockingham County and the son of the late, Jack Vernon Dockery, Sr. and Bessie Lee Ledbetter. He enjoyed his time serving in the US NAVY where he traveled extensively. Jack retired from Perfect Fit Industries with over 20 years of service. He was a member of the 1st ARP Church of Lancaster and he was always dedicated to his family. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice Fleagle Dockery; his brother, Randy Dockery and his nephew, Holden Ledbetter. Jack is survived by his sons, Clint Dockery and wife, Laurie of Kernersville and Jonathan Dockery and wife, Jennifer of Lincolnton, NC; grandchildren, Hunter Dockery, Logan Dockery, Summer Dockery, Steven Davison and wife, Shiloh, Randy Davison, Caitlin Davison and David Dockery; brother, Taylor Ledbetter and wife, Gina of Reidsville; sisters, Gloria Still of Reidsville and Joyce Fulp of Kenansville and extended family.
