Jerry Wayne Wray

Jerry Wayne Wray, 78, of Pelham, NC, passed away on Sunday, February 4th, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Pastor Jason Gaskin officiating. Jerry was born in Rockingham County on August 31, 1939 to the late Pat and Gracie Wray. He worked as a long haul truck driver for Pilot freight & Jevic Transportation for 35 years. There was not a time when he wasn’t willing to help someone in need especially his children. He enjoyed traveling, watching his grandchildren on the baseball field and working in his shop. He loved his wife, son, grandchildren and great grandson very much. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Watson Wray; son, Tony Wray and wife Misti of Danville, Va; brothers, Buddy Wray and wife Carol, Pete Wray; Grandsons, Travis Wray and wife Kendall, Dylan Wray and girlfriend Savanna; great grandson, Sawyer Wray along with two step grandchildren, Zach and Annmarie Davis.
