Reidsville – Agnes Comer Truitt Lamberth 93, of 704 Spruce Street passed away, Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at her home.A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 16, 2010 at First Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Mark Tolodziecki officiating. Burial will follow in Reidlawn cemetery. A native of Rockingham County, she was the daughter of the late Buck and Eula McCollum Comer. She received her training as a registered nurse from St. Leo’s School of Nursing in Greensboro, NC. Her deep love for the Lord was her source of joy, and the foundation of her integrity and generosity. She was always willing to share wisdom and laughter while serving many through nursing, cooking, and hospitality. Agnes leaves a rich legacy of love to the many family members and friends in whose lives she invested.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands S.F. (Ike) Truitt and William E. (Bill) Lamberth, Sr. and nine siblings.Mrs. Lamberth is survived by her daughters, Ann T. Stadler and husband, James of Charlotte, NC Patsy T. Cobb and husband, Kenneth of Morristown, TN; step-sons, W.E. (Eddie) Lamberth, Jr. (Linda) of Reidsville, Robert R. Lamberth (Judy) of Reidsville, John M. Lamberth (Sharon) of Greensboro; step-daughters, Ann Ledford (Bob) of Spartanburg, SC, Roberta Cobb (Harold) and Sarah Matthews (Gary) of Reidsville; grandchildren, D. Keith Stadler (Amy), Michelle S. Parker, Kristy C. Van Meter (Clay) and Holly C. Lucenay (Jonathan); step-grandchildren, James Lamberth, Kelly Wilson, Ray Wilson, Deanna Lovings, Brittany Butler, Bob Lamberth, Katie Johnson, Jason Matthews, Joshua Matthews, Justin Matthews, Mary Bennett, and Brett Lamberth; Twelve great-grandchildren and eleven step-great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 6-8 pm. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Christian Church, 1863 South Park Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320 or to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
