*DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER THE SERVICE WILL BE CHANGED TO 2:00PM ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON. Alan Wayne Barham, 43, of Barham Road, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his home. Graveside services will be held 2:00PM on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Mount Bethel Church in Summerfield, with Rev. Kevin Cochran officiating. The family will see friends following the service and other times at Maria’s home, 469 Barham Road. Born in Rockingham County on August 22, 1974, Alan was a graduate of Rockingham County High School and an Eagle Scout. He was a life member of the N.C. Fire Chiefs and a member of the Madison Rescue Squad. He was also a former auto mechanic, former Fire Chief with the Bethany Fire Dept. and a former Paramedic with the Rockingham County EMS. Alan enjoyed his time making stews with the Bethany Civic Center. Those who preceded him in death are his mother, Sharon Murray Barham ; paternal grandparents, William ”Nick” and Sarah Barham; maternal grandparents, Don and Mary Murray. Survivors include his son, Joshua Alan Barham; father, Wayne Barham, sisters, Maria Wall and husband, Jimmy and Malisa Cochran and husband, Kevin; nieces, Sarah Cochran, Kamryn Wall; nephew, Sean Cochran; special friend, Heather Southern and daughter, Parrish; aunts, Linda Hershman and husband, Jay, Patsy Goodman, and husband, John, Margie Ellington and husband, Danny, Eva Fox and husband, Steve and Sandy Miller and husband, Larry; uncle, Don Murray and wife, Audi; extended family members including Robin and Ronnie Manual. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home to help the family with funeral arrangements.
