Albert Woodson Southard

Reidsville: Albert Woodson Southard, 72, of Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the treatment center. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Lively Stones Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Southard was a native of Rockingham County and was the son of the late Hugh and Lillie Rakes Southard. He was a carpenter and worked with Southard Construction. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice Southard Southard; and his brothers, John Southard and Leonard Southard. He is survived by his children, Albert “Woody” Southard and wife, Chrystal, Jedadia “Jed” Southard and wife, Malinda and Laura Southard; six grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Southard, Donna Boyd both of Pelham, NC and Myrtle Kernodle of Reidsville; brothers, Bill Southard and wife, Brenda of Eden, Joe Southard and wife, JoAnn of Reidsville and Kenneth Southard and wife, Mary Ann of Gibsonville. There will be no formal visitation.
