Alexandru "Alex" Lemnaru

Alexandru “Alex” Lemnaru, 70, of Reidsville, passed away October 15, 2023.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Reverend Bonnylee Whitt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Alex was born in Romania to the late Valeria Lemnaru and Ecaterina Vlaescu. He had a lifetime passion for soccer and played professionally in Romania during his youth. He served in the French Foreign Legion as a Chief Helmsman until he received his American citizenship. Alex had a long career as an electrical engineer for Goodyear. He loved deep-sea fishing and spending time at the beach with his wife Shannon, listening to classic rock and roll and sipping on margaritas. He loved his family and friends and they loved him. 

Alex is survived by his beloved wife Shannon Lemnaru; his daughter Alexandria Stallings, son-in-law Nick and their daughter Adalynn; daughter Sarah Lemnaru and her children; step-daughter Siera Lynskey; his sister-in-law Tina Hewitt and her husband Brian; brother Gabi Lemnaru and wife Flori: father-in-law Jerry Bowers. A special thanks to his best friend John Lee for many years of memories and for his care over the years.
