Alfred Steven Hawkins

Reidsville –Alfred Steven Hawkins, 58, of 335 Steamboat Drive, died on Wednesday, June 16, 2010.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Wilkerson Funeral Home, with Rev. David Surrett officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery with military rites.Mr. Hawkins, a native of Rockingham County, was born to the late Alfred Blake and Edna Ruth Gwynn Hawkins. He was avid hunter and loved gardening. He was in tune outdoorsman who loved nature. He also loved music and playing his guitar. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a medic.He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Hawkins Marston and Rebecca Hawkins Spurgeon; brother, Robert Gary Hawkins, of Reidsville; sisters, Joyce Blake Norris and Christine Barnes. The family will receive friends on Friday , June 18, 2010, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM and other times at 2934 Vance Street Ext..
