Alice Huskey Bray

Reidsville - Alice Huskey Bray, 84, 1295 Harrison Crossroad Loop, died on Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Moses Cone Hospital.A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Warner and Rev. James Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.Alice was born in Rockingham County to the late William Henry and Ada Strader Huskey and was a retiree of The American Tobacco Company with 40 years service. She loved the beach and eating at The Seafood Hut and also enjoyed the food and fellowship at Reid's House and Chaney's. Most of all Mama Alices' grandchildren were her "shining stars". Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Mitchell Bray; daughter, Sandra Alice Bray; brother, William "Bill" Huskey; sisters, Dot Huskey Owen and Louise Huskey Smith. Survivors include her son, Ronnie Bray and wife, Jill; grandchildren, Chris Jones and wife , Suzanne, John Bray and wife, Courtnee, David Bray and wife, Cheri, Chris Owens and Michelle Owens; great grandchildren, Megan Jones, Bailey Bray, Joe Bray, Kayla Bray and Emily Bray; brother, Donald Wayne Huskey and wife, Lynn; sister, Lorene Huskey Purnell and many loving nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Saturday evening at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
