Allen Wayne Jones

Ruffin - Allen Wayne Jones, 61, of 298 Wharton Road, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family.Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Tillman and Rev. Randy Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Allen was born in Rockingham County to the late Robert Monroe and Rosa Lovelace Jones. He was a member of Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church and formerly employed by Henniges Manufacturing. Allen loved cracking jokes, racing and being a "back seat driver". Farming was always a love of his, but most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Jones; brothers, Hillman and Bernard Jones and sister, Nancy Walker.Allen is survived by his loving wife, Gail Jones of the home; daughters, Patricia Anne Jones of Ruffin, Dawn Beville of Reidsville, April McDaniel and husband, Benjamin of Ruffin and Beth Jones of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Regina Pierce, Taylor Pierce, Wayne Beville, Makayla Beville, Sierra Walker, Hunter Beville, Dakota Jones and Preston McDaniel; brothers, Danny Jones and wife Susan of Reidsville; sisters, Pauline Walker and Geneva Miller both of Reidsville and his dog, Buffy.The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 and other times at the home.
