Alma Gwynn Barrett

Alma Gwynn Barrett, 70, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Wilkerson Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. The services will be officiated by Pastor Wayne Kennon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson and burial will follow at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church. Gwynn was a lifetime resident of Rockingham County. She loved to sing and worship her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Peaceful Baptist Church. She was a servant and caretaker to many people, her children and grandchildren always brought her great joy. She will be missed greatly. She is preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Dickerson Gwynn is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jerry F. Barrett; father, Elmer Dickerson; children, Todd Saunders (Tiffany), Michell Dillard (John), Ginny Price (Ted), Jeremiah “Matt” Barrett (Megan); 11 grandchildren; brother, Jeffrey Dickerson and a large extended family.
