Reidsville – Alma Loftis Perdue, 94, of 589 Cook Florist Road, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Groff and Rev. Mike Campbell officiating. The interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Perdue was born in Henry County, Virginia to the late Adolphus and Fannie Carter Loftis and was a homemaker. She was a member of Thompsonville Baptist Church for over 60 years and a very devoted Christian. Her family views her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Perdue; grandson, Stephen Gibson; great granddaughter, Jessica Gibson; sisters, Patty Gordon, Millie Norwood, Bertha Lineberry and Verlie Pierce; brothers, Boyd and Lindsey Loftis.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Milton Perdue; daughters, Carolyn Gibson, Lib Hall and husband, Bobby, Rachael Perdue, Brenda Church and husband, Avery, son, Mark Perdue and wife, Dawn; granddaughter and caregiver, Michelle Toler and fourteen other grandchildren; great granddaughter and caregiver, Misty Toler and twenty other great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sisters, Annie Bates and Thelma Toler.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
