Amy Johnson Barringer

Reidsville: Amy Sue Johnson Barringer, 59, of 211 Broad Street, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M., on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times the family will be at her home. Amy was a native of Rockingham County and the daughter of the late Hugh Joe Johnson and Maggie Johnson Equils. She was a homemaker, but enjoyed various jobs that allowed her to serve others. Her family was her priority and she always found joy in helping them in difficult times. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved brother, Hugh Clay Johnson. Amy is survived by her husband, Steve Barringer of the home; her sons, Hugh David-Neal Williams and wife, Ivi, James Williams and Fred Barringer and wife, Michelle; her daughters, Aaron Kain Williams and Tina Barringer; her grandchildren, Ciara Kinsey, Dylan Kinsey, Natalie Williams, Madeline Williams, Hugh Daniel Williams, Jeri Barringer and Alan Billings; her sister, Anita Johnson and her brother, Colt Johnson and extended family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
