Madison: Ann Crowder Pastore, 80, formerly of 681 Massey Creek Road, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Annie Penn Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 26, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Wray officiating. The burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Pastore was a native of Rockingham County and the daughter of the late, John and Edith Lynch Crowder. In her youth, she attended Smyrna Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and spent her life caring for others. Her home was always filled with laughter, classic movies and good food.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Pastore of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Johnny Pastore of Tampa, FL, Dante Pastore and wife, Karen of Woodstock, GA, Jerry Pastore and wife, Ethel of Franklinville, NJ and Stephen Pastore of Chapel Hill, NC; her grandchildren, Katie and Kelly Pastore, Angela, Tony and Dante Pastore, Jr., Rachel, Jennifer, James, Matthew and Ava Grace Pastore; sisters, Becky Garrison and husband, Myron of Madison and Amy Stone and husband, Brian of Madison; brother, Daryl Crowder and wife, Heather of Reidsville; nieces, Tammy and Shannon Cheshire, Hailey and Lacey Stanfield; nephews, Holden and Mason Crowder.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 25 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times starting Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm at Becky and Myron Garrison’s home (580 Crowder Road, Madison).The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Hawkins and his staff, Dr. Husani and his staff, the Annie Penn 2nd floor ICU Staff and the caring staff of Arbor Ridge in Eden for the loving and professional care given to Ann during her illness.
