Reidsville, NC - Annie A. “Mimi” Allison, 83, of 718
Watson Street, passed away on Thursday, January
10, 2008 at Moses
Cone Memorial
Hospital.
Funeral services will be held
at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 12, 2008 at
Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory
Gardens. Pallbearers will be Raymond Hall, Les
Allison, Billy Saunders, Bob Kennon, Junior Allison, Carl, Bob and Tom Allison,
Jay Harold Allison, Sammy Allison, Jr., and Ken Allison.
Annie was a lifelong resident
of Rockingham County and a daughter of the late James
Richard Allison and Falena Jane Moore Allison. She retired from Cone Mills and was a member of Covington Memorial
Wesleyan Church.
“Mimi” was very involved with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and in
her spare time enjoyed needlework and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, James W. Allison; son, James Richard Allison;
granddaughter, Allison Lee Martin; sisters, Pansy Applebee, Virginia Soyars and
Alice Saunders; brother, James Allison.
She is survived by her
daughters; Ann Allison Martin of Greensboro, Sandra A. Moore Cheek and husband,
Charlie of Pleasant Garden, NC; grandchildren, Joseph Martin and wife, Lizz of
Atlanta, GA, Leanne Moore Slack and husband, Gary of Archdale, Mandy Moore Meeks
and husband, Tim, Maria Manring Hudson and husband, Morris , Richard James Moore,
all of Reidsville, Kelly Manring Archibald and husband, Elmer of Greensboro,
Lisa Allison Stadler and husband, Bill of Reidsville, James Richard Allison,
Jr. and wife, Stacey of Charlotte, John David Allison of Reidsville; great grandchildren; Meredith Lee Truitt, Hunter
Truitt, Joshua Richard Chilton, Garrett Warren Collins, Jordan Lee Archibald,
Mark Richard Slack, Jared Taylor Archibald, Kelley Allison Slack, Aidan Reese
Moore, Tristan DeLayne Strader, William
Luke Hudson, Gracin Elaine Meeks; expected great grandchild, Jaidan Lee Archibald; brothers, Johnny
Allison and wife, Edith of High Point, Sammy Allison and wife, Diane of
Lexington; sisters, Nellie Pulliam of Reidsville and Violet Kennon of South
Boston, VA; special friends, William and Frances Saunders, Gladys Buck and Eunice Taylor.
The family will receive friends
at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, January 11th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the home of
Mandy and Timmy Meeks, 607 McCoy
Road, Reidsville.
