Reidsville – Annie Mae Fain Watkins, 83, of 931 Walker Street, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at New Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Harold Venable, Rev. Grady Blakley and Pastor Danny Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Annie Mae was born in Rockingham County to the late William Melvin and Minnie Sue Gilley Fain and retired after 35 years in textiles. She was a member of New Heights Baptist Church and was a loving MeMaw. She enjoyed family reunions and working in her flowers. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Chase Martin Stone; brothers, Edgar Fain, Carlton Fain, Moyer Fain and Charlie Fain; sister, Alma Blakely. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Watkins; daughters, Vicki Lee O’Dell and Theresa Ann O’Dell Stone; grandchildren; David Loman, Kristy Loman, Joseph Reid Stone and Mary-Katherine Stone; great grandchild, Kaitlyn Hamlet; brothers, Eugene Fain, Oscar Fain and Morris Fain; sisters, Doris Duncan and Mildred Roberts. The family will see friends on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 7-9 PM and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P O Box 281, Wentworth NC 27375.
