Annie Carter Weatherford

REIDSVILLE- Mrs. Annie Carter Weatherford, 72, of Reidsville died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Moses Cone Hospital. Mrs. Weatherford was born March 3, 1941 in Rockingham County to the late Walter Franklin and Stella Shelton Carter. She was a member of Sandy Cross Wesleyan Church. She was a resident of Carolina House where she enjoyed playing BINGO and working with arts and crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Weatherford and her two sisters, Naomi Atkins and Wanda Stoddard. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Childress and wife Terri of Reidsville; Bobby Shelton and wife Pat of Summerfield; one daughter, Teresa and husband Dennis Fields of Reidsville; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 14, 2013 in Wilkerson Funeral Home. Rev. Rudy Woods will officiate. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM in the funeral home and other times at the home of her son, Wayne Childress, 131 Loftis Road, Reidsville, North Carolina 27320.
