Anthony "Tony" Wayne Smithey

Anthony “Tony” Smithey, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April, 16 2022 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00PM. The family will receive friends, at other times, at the home of Johnny Isley.

Tony received the Lord in the Summer of 2014 which has brought a great assurance to the family. He worked as a Logger with his father’s business for many years which he enjoyed. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed fishing with friends. Tony had a close relationship with his grandson, Eli.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Frances Smithey and his wife, Lisa Smithey. Tony is survived by his daughter, Tabitha Smithey; grandson’s, Elijah Hutchens and Malachi Smithey; sister, Robin Lundy and husband, Dean; nephew, Johnny Isley and wife, Brooke.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Wilkerson Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses during this difficult time.
