Click Here to view Memorial Video Reidsville – Arlene Burns Cox, 81, of 7882 US Business 29, passed away at Moses Cone Hospital on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, with Rev. Marilyn Weiler officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Memory Gardens following the service. She was the daughter of the late George and Sallie Childress Burns. She was preceded in death by her brother, Hurley Burns of Richmond, Va. and her sister Linda Norton of Reidsville. Mrs. Cox was a loving, happy, and caring mother and grandmother. She made everyone feel welcomed into her family. She was a fighter and a cancer survivor. Her children and grandchildren were very special to her and especially her husband, Bobby. She is survived by her husband, Bobby of the home and sons; Dean Stokes and wife, Sharon, and Mark Stokes and wife, Barbie; and one daughter, Barbara Dockery and the late Randy Dockery from Reidsville; and grandchildren Alexis Stokes, Tammy and Bryant Turner, Randy and Virginia Dockery, and Brooke Stokes. She had two great grandchildren Savannah and Chesley Turner and five step-grandchildren that dearly loved her. The family will receive friends 6 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
