Arlene Clifton Emerson

Reidsville – Arlene Clifton Emerson, 81, of 718 King Street, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2009, Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Emerson was born in Patrick County, Virginia to the late Grogan and Luerena Massey Clifton. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Zarn and attended Burton Memorial Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd E. Williams and Charles Emerson; sisters, Dorothy C. Brown, Bessie C. Ore, Gracie C. Byrd; brothers, Bronza, George, Ernest and Bill Clifton; grandson, Wade Ellis Williams.Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Alcorn (Gary) of Ruffin, Anita Vernon (Gary), Alice Vernon (Kenneth), Carol Pulliam all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Renae Tejeda, Dawn Petty, Eddie Williams, Jennifer Bradford, Tina Williams and Angie Via; great grandchildren, Nicole, Sarah, Jasper, Natalie, Bryson, Emma, Ryan and Aleiah; loving sister, Margaret C. Ore. The family will see friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home Friday evening form 6-8 PM and other times at the home.
