Audrey Mae Travis Coffey

Audrey “Mae” Travis Coffey, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 17, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 21,2023 at Happy Home Church with Pastor Jerry Lankford officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mae was born in Rockingham County to the late Jennings Jackson Travis and Annie Lou Fuller Travis. She loved sports, camping, working in her yard, driving the tractor and picking at Bobby.  She was a devoted aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family.  The unbreakable bond and love between her and her sister will always be revered.  We will all remember her warmth, love, and generosity.  She will be missed by all who knew her. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Robert “Bobby” L. Coffey.

Mae is survived by her sister, Gloria Draughn;  nephew, Mark Draughn (Rhonda), great nephew, Chris Draughn (Kristi); great nieces, Brandi Draughn Beville (Charlie), Hannah Corns (Geoffrey),great-great nephews, Trent Draughn (Kendell) and Ethan Beville; great-great nieces, Kendall Draughn and Kylie Draughn; great-great-great niece, Merryn Draughn as well as a loving group of extended family.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her honor to the Dan River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery fund at 1732 Westover Drive, Danville, VA 24541.
