Audrey Sartin Roberts

Reidsville - Audrey Sartin Roberts, 89, of 703 Bradley St., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 6, 2012 at her home.Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM,Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Lyle Milligan officiating. Mrs. Roberts was born in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Presley and Mary Brown Roberts. She retired from Burlington Industries after many years of service. Her beautiful smile and friendly personality was welcomed by everyone that knew her. She never met a stranger. She was a longtime and faithful member of Baptist Temple and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carr Roberts; 3 sisters and 1 brother.She is survived by her daughters, Alda Hanks and husband, Sammy, Doris McKinney and husband, Grey and Bernice Stone all of Reidsville; her sons, Stephen Roberts of Greensboro and Kevin Roberts and wife, Dawn of Woodville, AL; step daughter, Marie Friend of Houston, TX; step son, Raymond Roberts and wife, Claudia of Goldsboro, NC; 3 grandsons; 3 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; and 3 step great grandchildren; sister, Mildred Davis of Jacksonville, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will be receiving friends Wednesday, August 8th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at her home.
