Barbara C. Collins

Barbara C. Collins, 85, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Withrow officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the residence. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Barbara was born in Rockingham County to the late Otis W. and Mae Collins. She was a graduate of Reidsville High School and Women’s College in Greensboro. She was a Home Economics teacher for 37 years in the Graham school system, Reidsville Junior High and Reidsville Senior High. She was a member of First Congregational Christian Church, Hoe and Hope Garden Club and the Reidsville Beautification Committee. She loved gardening, needle crafts, painting and cooking for her family. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bob Collins of the home; son, Randall Collins; daughter, Jill Dix and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Garrett W. Collins, Austin Brooks and Tanner Brooks, all of Reidsville; sisters, Joan Collins and Judy Danielson, both of Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O.
