Barbara McLain Mayer

Reidsville: Barbara McLain Mayer, 51, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Hospice of Rockingham County. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Greenview Cemetery with Steven James officiating. Barbara was born in Guilford County to the late Henry Clay and Gladys Sartin McLain. She attended Altamahaw Baptist Church, enjoyed dancing and never met a stranger. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ray McLain. Survivors include her children, Jeffrey McLain, Dustin Genopolos and Dallas Austin; sisters, Brenda Arrington, Kathy Barfield, and Tammy Morris; granddaughter, Aubrianah McLain. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, Brenda, 2657 Sudie Dr. Burlington.
