Barbara Roach Moore

Reidsville – Barbara “Meme” Roach Moore, 72, of 2767 Country Lane, passed away, Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Avante at Reidsville. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Speedwell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rebecca Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Barbara was born in Rockingham County to the late Leslie and Erma Stone Roach. She was a homemaker and attended Speedwell Presbyterian Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Raeford Roach. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her grandchildren. Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Elwood Moore; daughters, Pam Holland and husband, Donnie and Phyllis White and husband, Al; grandchildren, Heather Brown and husband, Jeff, Jessica Holland, Al White, Jr., Dusty White; great granddaughter, McKayla White and sister, Gayle Ross and husband, Wilson. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 15, from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Avante at Reidsville and staff, Wesley Long Hospital 4th Floor and staff and Maxim Heath Care for their care and concern given to Barbara during her illness.
