Barbara Jefferson Murray

Reidsville: Barbara Jean Jefferson Murray, 67, of 123 3rd Court, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Gary Loftis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Murray was born in Caswell County to the late Woodrow and Margaret Hall Jefferson. She was a faithful Christian woman always putting others first. She was hardworking, diligent, generous and considerate of anyone in need. She loved working in the yard and always had a kind word of encouragement. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Lucy Knight and her brother, Danny Jefferson.

Mrs. Murray is survived by her children, Darlene Jones and husband, Bobby of Cheraw, SC and Lewis Ray Murray of Southport, NC; grandchildren, Anthony Harvell and wife, Lindsey, Michele Grace and Christa Burleson; great grandchildren, Raymond Harvell, Jr, Cameron Harvell, Christopher Grace, III and Savannah Maultsby; brothers, William “PeeWee” Jefferson and wife, Hazel, Raymond Jefferson; sister, Vernell Willard Hilton all of Reidsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
