Barbara Ann "Pete" Collins

Reidsville – Barbara Ann “Pete” Collins, 68, of 1749 Apt D South Scales Street passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Annie Penn Hospital, following a short illness.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Loftis officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.Miss Collins was born on January 15, 1942 to the late William and Mable Mansfield Collins. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her nephew, Robert Stephens. She was formerly employed by special friends Joe and Gail King of Reidsville. Barbara surely will be missed by all that knew her.Barbara is survived by her sisters, Frances Todd of Reidsville, Lillie Ward and husband, Larry of Reidsville, Betty Hodges and husband, Eldridge of HawRiver and Julia Stephens and husband, Douglas of Ruffin; brother, Edward Collins and wife Linda of Reidsville; many nieces and nephews who thought of her as a 2nd mother and many great nieces and nephews as well. The family will receive friends Friday, June 18th from 7 – 9 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence of brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Linda Collins of 3622 NC Hwy 150 East.
