Barbara Matlock Revis

Reidsville – Barbara Matlock Revis-Whitten, 73, of 607 King St., died on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Talton officiating. The burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Barbara was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of the late Clarence Raymond and Gertrude Matlock. She was totally committed to her Christian faith and lived her testimony by always putting others ahead of herself. She loved her family and was the caregiver they could always count on. She was preceded in death by her previous husband, Clyde Revis, Sr., her sisters and brothers. Barbara is survived by her husband, Edward “Bud” Whitten of the home; her children, Cullen Lamb and wife, Diane of Brown Summit, Susan Laster and husband, Gary, Clyde “C.P.” Revis, Jr and wife, Tamar and Angela Thomas and husband, B.J. all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Cullen Lamb, III, David Lamb, Jonathan Revis and wife, Deanna, Brittany Revis, Jeremy Revis, Ariana Revis and Charlie Revis; great grandchildren, Christopher and Joshua Thomas, and Nathan Revis; step son, Scott Whitten and wife, Vickie and their children all of Reidsville and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 7 to 9 PM and other times at the residence.
