Barbara Moore Tate

Barbara Moore Tate, 68, of 214 McCoy Road, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, July 18, 2016 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Harmon officiating. The burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Barbara was born in Danville, Va. to the late Leonard Wesley and Sina Frances Ruhland Moore and was a retiree of Zarn Plastics with 35 yrs service. She was a member of The Rock Church of the Living God and served in many positions. In Barbara’s words….” Celebrate my life. Rejoice that I am with my Savior. After my funeral, have a meal and fellowship I will be there with you”. Survivors include her husband, John W. Tate; daughter, Marvette Dalton Cox and husband, Butch; sons, John W. Tate, Jr. and wife, Teresa, William L. Tate and Stephen Tate and wife, Lorri; grandchildren, Jessica D. Cox, Kayla Spencer, Karli Tate, Seth Tate, Dwight Tate, Maegan Tate, Austin Tate, Clint Snead and Patricia Snead; great grandchild, Aiden Gilbert; sisters, Mary Grubbs, Gloria Hardy and husband, Russell Tammy Porterfield and husband, David and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, July 17, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at her home.
