Beatrice Joyce Brim

Reidsville – Beatrice Joyce Brim, 94, of 1555 Barnes Street, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Cone Hospital.Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Baptist Temple Church with Rev. John Groff officiating. The burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery.Mrs. Brim was born in Virginia and was the daughter of the late, Robert Lee and Nancy Joyce. She retired from Glen Raven Mills and was a longtime and faithful member of Baptist Temple Church. She was a strong, courageous and independent woman who loved life and the outdoors. She lived to love and encourage others, especially her family and close friends. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Eugene Brim and 10 brothers and sisters.Mrs. Brim is survived by her children, Charles Joyce of Greensboro, NC and Carol James of Reidsville; her grandchildren, Charles Joyce, Jr. and wife, Kelly of High Point, Jennifer Evans and husband, Chris of Stoneville and Melissa Fain of Stem, NC; her great grandchildren, Tyler and Chandler Evans and Ella Joyce and her sister, Lorene Gregory and husband, Joe of Raleigh.The family will receive friends, Saturday, June 4 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and other times at her home.
