Beatrice Burge Simpson

Randleman: Beatrice Burge Simpson, 82, of 293 New Salem Road, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Randolph Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Raines officiating. The interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour at the church prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Simpson was born in Randolph County to the late Edgar and May Fain Burge. She was a Christian lady serving as a private duty nurse for many years. She loved her family, flowers and camping. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Simpson Compton; brothers, Thomas, Irvin and Walter Burge; and her sister, Mary Burge London. She is survived by her husband, Clyde Simpson, Jr. of the home; her children, Arnold Simpson, Mike Simpson, Melinda Simpson King and Ray Simpson all of Reidsville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; her brother, Richard Burge and wife, Dare of Kernersville; her sister-in-law, Helen Burge of Reidsville and numerous nieces and nephews.
