Benjamin Isley

Reidsville – Benjamin “Ben” Franklin Isley, 72, of 1202 Gunn Street, Apt 16B, died on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Durham VA Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday March 13, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Military Graveside Rites performed by the Rockingham County Honor Guard. Ben was born in Rockingham County to the late Robert Henry Isley and Mollie Moore Isley. He was a veteran of the US Army, a retired truck driver with Shaffer Trucking and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Isley and Jim Isley; sisters, Nettie Isley, Geraldine Scearce and Wilma Hall. He is survived by his wife, Kay Canady Isley; step children, Michele and Joshua Sartin; brother, Tony Isley and wife, Caroleda; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 12th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the home of Tony Isley, 11011 Park Springs Road, Ruffin, NC.
