Benny Michael Hanks

Benny Michael Hanks, 68, of Red Bank, TN passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 2:00PM at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1-2 PM at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church and was a former employee of Dixie Yarns as a Textile Chemist for 24 years and finished his career at Warehouse Row. He received his bachelors degree from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis Benny Hanks and Pearl May Hanks and nephew, Stephen Shane Meeks. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Hanks, daughter, Michelle Hanks, sister, Hilda Hanks Meeks, brother, Herbert Frank Hanks, niece, Melanie Meeks and nephew, Eddie Meeks. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, 9983 NC 700, Pelham, NC 27311.
