Bentley “Richard” Yeatts was a loving husband, dad, and papa. Richard peacefully went to be with The Lord, Sunday January 23, 2022 at 92 years old.
The funeral service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2pm with visitation one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Richard was born in 1930 to the late Bentley and Victoria Yeatts in Danville, VA. Richard was known for never meeting a stranger, showing love to all he met, and having an infectious sense of humor and smile. He faithfully attended Covington Wesleyan Church, frequently sharing the peace and love he felt for his Savior with others.
Surviving is his faithful wife Bea of 70 years, children Debbie Booker (Bill deceased), Jesse Yeatts (Cheryl), Grandchildren: Billy Booker (Kim), Andy Booker (Cindy), Matt Booker, Ben Booker, Jessica Brown (Jonathan), Lara Dildy (Matt), Ashleigh Falls, Aly Belongia (Rich), Stone Yeatts; 14 great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Bessie Kernodle.
Preceded in death were his brothers, Melvin, Lawrence, Carl, and sister Mary Knight. The family would like to give a special thanks to Ebony Watkins and Tammy Johnson for the exceptional care they provided during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County at PO Box 281 Wentworth, NC 27375 or Covington Wesleyan Church at 3218 Vance Street Ext, Reidsville, NC 27320.
Family will be at the home at other times for visitation. Please consider COVID recommendations to ensure everyone’s safety.
