Bertha May Trent

Reidsville: Mrs. Bertha May Goff Trent, 78, of Reidsville, formerly of New Castle, Delaware passed away on Thursday, May 29th, 2014. Mrs. Trent was born on April 4th, 1936 in New Castle, Delaware to the late Charles and Virginia Johnson Goff. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Bertha enjoyed knitting and ceramics in earlier years. She was a dedicated wife and loved her husband dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Clarence E. (Cotton) Trent and her brother, Charles Goff. Survivors include her sister, Jean of Florida; Barbara Boone of Reidsville, Mary Miles of Summerfield, and many nieces and nephews that she adored. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 31st, 2014 at eleven o’clock at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Dr. Beau Cooksey officiating. Interment will be on Saturday, June 7th, 2014 at eleven o’clock at Gracelawn Memorial Park in New Castle, Delaware with Pastor David Persinger and Pastor Don Delia officiating.
