Bertillia Tidge Rudd

Reidsville – Bertillia “Tidge” Rudd, 78, of 1205 Fillman Drive, died on Friday, April 2, 2010, at the Rockingham County Hospice Home.Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 5, 2010, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Huggins and Rev. James Hodges officiating.Tidge was born in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Dan and Bertha Vestal Aheron. She was a manager of Barnett’s Jewelry store for many years and later was employed with Belk’s Department store and the Hitching Post. Many will remember her as a vendor at the Eden Flea Market. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, William T. “Bill” Rudd and sisters, Sunshine Hall, Havens Joyce and Iris Earps. She is survived by her son, Donald Rudd and wife, Kay; Grandchildren, Crystal Cobb and husband, Patrick, Arie-Anne Toney and husband, Doug; great grandchildren, Katlyn, Alyssa, Carly, Drew; brothers, Bill Aheron, George Aheron, Wilfred Aheron; sister, Gloria Robertson. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Saturday, April 3, 2010, from 6-8 PM and other times at the residence.
