Betty Jennings Arthur

Reidsville– Betty Jennings Arthur, 57, of 197 Cedar Run , died on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at her home.Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, April 1, 2011 at Powell Funeral Home in South Boston, VA. Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Arthur was born in Halifax County to the late Amos Walton Jennings and Kathleen DeJarnette Jennings. She worked at Wachovia Bank for over 30 years, was an avid gardener and loved to walk. She is survived by her husband, Larry K. Arthur, Sr. of the home; son, Ken Arthur, Jr. and fiancé, Sherry Briggs of Raleigh, NC; brother, Walton Jennings of Phoenix, VA; sister, Kathleen Faye Jennings of Rustburg, VA. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville, NC on Thursday, March 31st from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence.
