Betty Barrow Dunlap

Reidsville:   Betty Barrow Dunlap, 73, of 903 Montgomery Street, passed away Friday, March 7, 2008 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 10, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating.   Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery. Pallbearers include Larry Dunlap, Lance Dunlap, Curt Denny, Todd Hodges, and Raymond Pennell. Betty was born in Alamance County to the late Joe and Maude Spicer Barrow and was a former employee of Name Brands and a retiree of Chase Bag Co.   She was a member of Penn Memorial Baptist Church and attended Covington Wesleyan Church.   Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters and best friend, Alease Stanley. Survivors include her husband, John W. Dunlap, Sr.; children, John “Johnny” Dunlap, Jr., Debbie Harvey and fiancé, Raymond Pennell and Larry Dunlap and fiancé, Cheryl Gammon; grandchildren, Todd Thorpe, Tabitha Denny and husband, Curt, Lance Dunlap and Laken Dunlap; four great-grandchildren; nieces, Sue Broadwell and Linda Williams; and many special friends. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, March 9th from 6-8PM and other times they will be at the home.
