Betty "Mozelle" Gibson

Betty “Mozelle” Gibson, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Monday July 25.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday July 28, 2022 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Goins and Rev. Jerry Denny officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service at 10:00AM at the funeral home.

Mozelle was born in Rockingham County to the late Howard and Sarah Paschal Knowles and was a retiree of Reidsville City Schools. She was a member of Gospel Baptist Church and had a very close church family. Her passion was for serving people and she was a follower of Christ. She loved cooking for her family and enjoyed family and friends gathering around her. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Gibson and sister Peggy Denny.

She  is survived by her daughters, Sherri Whitaker and husband Gary, Gail Headrick and husband Don and Robin Yount and husband Danny; grandchildren Tosha Brown and husband Norman, Lauren Rainey and husband Scott, Daniel Headrick and wife Stacey, Holly Hennigan and husband Ben and Jordan Yount; great grandchildren Jacob Chatmon and fiance Erica, Abigail, Aubree, Anna and Addie Rainey, Isaac and Jack Headrick, sister Rita Snead; brothers Dale Knowles and wife Susan and Mike Knowles.
