Betty Puckett Melton

Reidsville: Betty Faye Puckett Melton, 71, of 812 South Main Street, Apt 21, passed away Monday, August 17 at her home. There will be no formal service at this time. Mrs. Melton was a native of Limestone County, Alabama and was the daughter of the late Howard and Ola Mae Taft Puckett. She was employed with Care Apparel where she worked as a seamstress. Betty was caring and loving Mother, Wife, Grandmother, and Friend. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Rayburn Puckett. Mrs. Melton is survived by her husband; Thomas Melton of Reidsville, NC; her son Johnny Whitt and wife, Julie of Reidsville, NC; her granddaughter, Sasha Long of Raleigh, NC; her great grandson, Jackson Davis Yeaman of Raleigh, NC; nephew, Sean Puckett of Asheville, NC; her uncles, Ray Taft and Leon Taft both of Ardmore, AL; stepsons, Micheal Melton of Harvest, AL and Chris Melton of Park City, TN; grandchildren, Kimberly Melton, Thomas Christopher Melton, JR, and Tanner Melton also of Park City, TN; cousins and extended family. "It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day that God called you home."
