Betty Taylor Moore

Reidsville – Betty Taylor Moore, 81, of 1555 Iron Works Road, passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2013, at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Betty was born in Harnett County to the late Jesse Loyd Taylor, Sr. and Vonnie Fann Rice. She was a retiree of The American Tobacco Company for 18 years and a member of Sharon Baptist Church. She was a hard working woman who sacrificed dearly for her family and had a great sense of humor. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Moore; daughter, Phyllis Ann Moore and brother, Jesse Loyd Taylor, Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Moore of Reidsville; sons, Gary Moore and wife, Terri of Reidsville and Johnson Lynn Moore and wife, Narie of Texas; grandchildren, Brooke Michael and husband, Jason and Ryan Moore and wife, Mae; great grandchildren Connor, Peyton and Cody Michael, Joshua and Johnson Wesley Moore and Sophia Taylor Moore; step grandson, John Jennings and wife, Kelly; step great grandchildren, Stephanie and Dylan Jennings and cousin, Helen Eason. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
