Betty Marie Overby

Reidsville – Betty Stone Overby, 74, passed into the presence of her Lord early Sunday, January 22, 2017 at her home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Betty was born February 5, 1942 in Rockingham County to the late Herbert Epperson Stone and Parthinia Ellen Stone. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Betty and Russell were married for 55 good years in which he enjoyed her cooking and caring nature. She loved her church and her favorite hobby was to go to yard sales. Her faithful companion dog, “Norris” will miss her greatly along with her family. Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Sossoman and her brother, Raleigh Stone. Survivors include her husband, Russell Overby of the home; daughter, Patsy Billingsley of Reidsville; grandson, Brad Clayton and wife, Lauren of Reidsville; great grandson, Conor Clayton; and a brother, Ralph Stone of Reidsville. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening January 23, 2017 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home; other times at the home.
