Betty Sue Thacker

Reidsville – Miss Betty Sue Thacker, 90, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Avante of Reidsville.Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Thacker, Darrell Thacker, Doyle Fletcher, Jason Holcomb, James Lee Williams and Derrick Walker.Miss Thacker was born in Rockingham County to the late Albert R. Thacker, Sr. and Sally Williams Thacker. She was a tobacco farmer, enjoyed crocheting and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lillie, Lucy, Mary and Lula Thacker and brother, Albert Ross Thacker, Jr.Survivors include her nephews, Randy Thacker and wife, Bonnie and Darrell Thacker and wife, Linda; great nieces, Annette Thacker Fletcher and husband, Doyle, Tracy Thacker Holcomb and husband, Jason and Kelly Helms and husband, Robert; great nephew, Jeffrey Thacker and wife, Maria; sister-in-law, Nira Knowles; several great great nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday, March 11, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Randy and Bonnie Thacker, 140 Green Meadow Loop.Special thanks to Carolina House and Avante of Reidsville for the love and care given to Miss Betty.
