Billie Jean Smith

Billie Jean Smith, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 25, 2021.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Clayton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00am. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Memory Gardens.

Billie was born on June 3, 1937, to the late Jasper and Bertha Minor. Billie was loved by everyone who knew her, and she was a caring person who always had a lot of love to give. She enjoyed word searches, watching game shows and lifetime movies, playing rook, and was known for having a great sense of humor and was always ready to cut-up and have a good time. More than anything, she loved her family and loved to go out to eat with them and her friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Cozart “Bill” Smith, son, Michael Smith, daughter, Dianne Smith, brothers, Roy Minor, George Minor, Johnny Minor, sister, Lola May, and grandson, Christopher Isley.

Billie is survived by her children, Brenda Isley, Barbara Jean Cobb and husband Steve, Wayne Smith and wife Serina, and Jason Smith, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, brothers, Clyde Minor, Harold Minor, Robert Wall, and sisters, Faye Burges and Ann Minor.
