Reidsville: Billy Joe “Little Joe” Sartin, 43, of 3401 Ashland Road, died Wednesday evening, May 20, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 24, 4:00 PM at Cherry Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Sartin and Pastor Ernest Sartin officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The pallbearers will be Ellis Sawyers, Randy McKinney, Tony Lee Walker, Jr., Jeff Butler, Eric Knowles, Timmy Sartin, Walter Ellington and Ken Mitchell.Little Joe was born in Rockingham County. He was a farmer and he loved working on the farm. He adored his granddaughter and his children. He is survived by his daughters, Samantha Jo Sartin and Faith Rochelle Sartin of Reidsville and Kristen Michelle Stephens of Eden; granddaughter, Cadence Trinity Sartin; his parents, Linda Sawyers and Billy Joe Sartin, Sr.; and his sister, Ginny Sartin Mitchell and husband, Ken of Providence.The family will receive friends, Saturday, May 23, 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cherry Grove Baptist Church and other times at his home.
