Billy O. Williams, Jr.

Billy O. Williams, Jr., 82, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro.

A graveside service will be held at Greenview Cemetery on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11:00am with Dr. Terry Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends after the graveside at New Heights Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home.

Billy was born on April 7, 1941, to the late Polly and Bill Williams, Sr. He graduated Reidsville High School in 1960.  Not long after he graduated, he began working at Burlington Industries before he was drafted into the US Army where he served during the Vietnam War. After he came home, he continued working at Burlington Industries where he eventually retired after 39 years of service. Billy enjoyed playing golf with his friends at Wolf Creek and going to dirt track races, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Frances Williams and Shirley Haley; and brother-in-law, Lonnie Walker.

Billy is survived by his wife of 58 wonderful years, Ann Husband Williams; son, Michael Williams (Ann Underwood); brother, Earl Williams (Linda); sister, Joan Walker; nieces and nephews, Sabrina Chaney, Chris Walker, Van Williams (Heather), Jeff Walker; and special cousin, Adrian Knighten.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Heights Baptist Church, 2796 NC Highway 14 Reidsville, NC 27320.
