Blaine Hubert Baker

Blaine Hubert Baker, 98, passed away on February 14, 2023, at Penn Nursing Center in Reidsville.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Military Honors will be performed by the Rockingham County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-1:45PM and other times at the home of his grandson, Joey Baker.

Blaine was born on March 20, 1924,  to the late Harvey and Annie Margaret Baker in Meyersdale, PA. He joined the US Army and served during WWII under General Patton and General Omar Bradley as part of the 9^th infantry division.  He later married his wife, Ethel Baker, and together they raised one daughter, Margaret Anne Baker. Blaine worked at MacField and then at UNIFI where he later retired. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ethel Baker; sisters, Della Rhodes, Dorothy McKenzie, Dessie Nicholas ; brothers, Norman Baker, and Grant Baker. He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Ann Baker and grandson, Joey Baker.
