Blanche Ledford Elmore

Blanche Ledford Elmore, 90, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 3pm Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Lakeview Memorial Park with Rev. Heath Lloyd officiating. Blanche was born in Lincoln County to the late Gaither Lee Ledford and Beuna Dobbins Ledford. She retired from Cone Mills after 50 years of service. She loved to cook, read her bible and do word search puzzles. She was a loving and caring person. She will be missed by all who knew her. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Austin Elmore Jr.; Son Michael Elmore; daughter, Carolyn E. Tarlton; grandson, David Kendrick Jr.; great-grandson, Nathan Buccos; one sister and seven brothers. Blanche is survived by her daughters, Gail Elmore Kendrick and husband David, Desiree Elmore White, Sandra Elmore Carver and husband Donald, Rena Elmore Englestad and husband John, Tammie Elmore Plummer and husband Chuck; grandchildren, Jay, Angela, Justin, Kelly, Michael, Shelia, Donnie, Tyler, Danielle, Ryan and Amy; six great-grandchildren along with a large and loving extended family. Blanche will be available for viewing at Wilkerson Funeral Home on February 16, 2021 from 8:30am - 5:00pm.
