Bob Hollingsworth Collins

Bob Hollingsworth Collins, 89, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Bob was born in Alamance County to the late William Edgar Collins and Ruby Lester Collins. He met and married the love of his life, Barbara Collins, the two were inseparable until she passed away in 2015. He loved spending time with his family, was an avid gardener, loved fishing and being outdoors. He was the owner/operator of a local RV dealership in Greensboro and a veteran of the US Coast Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin S. Collins. He is survived by his daughter, Jill C. Dix and husband, Jeff; son, Randall Collins; grandchildren, Garrett W. Collins, Austin J. Brooks, and Tanner L. Brooks; brother, Jim Collins. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
