Reidsville – Bobby Ray Critzer, Sr., 69, of 108 County Line Road died Monday, February 28, 2011 at his home.
Bobby was born in Lynchburg, VA to the late Andrew Bernard and Katie Thomas Critzer. He retired from Glen Raven Mills with over 17 years of service. Among all of his interest he was the first one armed man to artificially inseminate a cow and to receive the handicap award, received his GED at the age of 58, was a boxer in his youth and enjoyed soapbox derby racing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Gloria Jenkins, Reva Burns and Betty Critzer.
Survivors include his loving wife, Linda of the home; sons, Bobby Critzer, Jr. and wife, Brenda of High Point; daughters, Karen Conner and deceased husband, Charles, Susan Ratley of Trinity, Bobbie May of Reidsville and Rose Edmonds and husband Casey of Maryland; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home on Friday from 3-8 PM.
